The Hideaway has excellent transport links. Only seven miles to the Mallaig/Armadale ferry terminal (considered to be one of the most scenic ferry rides in the world!), and if arriving on Skye via the Skye bridge then the road down the Sleat peninsula is an easy drive with stunning views.
Take the turning off the A851 when you reach 'Sabhal Mor Ostaig' Gaelic College. You will see 'Tarskavaig' on the road-sign. The small local road is the 2nd highest road on Skye and has breathtaking views to both the Cuillin Mountains of Skye and to mountains around Knoydart on the mainland. Follow this road for 5 miles and take the turning into Tarskavaig village. Go to the turning by the red phone-box and turn left, towards the shore. The Hideaway is 200 metres along the road, on a gravel drive to your left.
