Hillcroft is a traditional croft house (built circa 1920) which has been extended and modernised providing comfortable guest accommodation in 3 ensuite rooms. The house is currently being refurbished by the new owners, Robin Sherratt and Janet Roelandts, and will be reopening for visitors at Easter 2008.
Hillcroft is ideally situated for excploring the north of the island. The Old Man of Storr and the Quirang are a short drive away, there is a fine pottery at Edinbane (3 miles). 8 miles north is Dunvegan castle and if you continue driving north through Dunvegan you come to the coral beaches. There are several pubs and eating places in the vicinity, serving a wide range of locally sourced food.

Facilities
Hillcroft is strictly non-smoking.
Guest departure is 10.00 a.m. and arrival 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

All rooms are centrally heated and have ensuite shower rooms with shaver points, comfortable beds with duvets, tv, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and alarm clocks.
We also have drying facilities for wet gear and secure covered parking for motor bikes, boats etc.
Tariff/Prices
£27.00 to £35.00 per night.
There is no charge for children under 3 and under 12 years of age there is a
50% discount.
There is a single person supplement from May to September.
Minimum booking 2 nights.
Season
For 2008 we will be open from Easter to mid September.
Location - How to Find Us
If arriving at Skye via the Skye road bridge, take the A87 signposted to Portree, (approx 32 miles). At Portree bear left to Uig and Dunvegan staying on the A87. 4 miles further on turn left onto the A850 signposted Dunvegan. Pass all the signposts for Bernisdale, Hillcroft is just past the sign for Treaslane. Do not turn right here, Hillcroft is situated just after the turn on the right hand side of the road. NB if using sat nav, please set if for Kyle of Lochalsh and not Skye, otherwise you will be taken to Mallaig and you will have to either return to Fort William or get the Ferry across to Armadale on the south of the island. From Armadale take the A851 and continue on this road until you reach the T-junction with the A87, turn left and from there proceed as above.

Hillcroft is situated midway between Portree, the main tourist centre of the island, and Dunvegan with its historic castle. Hillcroft has spectacular uninterrupted views across Loch Snizort Beag to the Trotternish hills in the east and the black Cuillin ridge to the south.
