Welcome to Hamara Lodge Self Catering Accommodation Glendale
Hamara Lodge self catering cottage is a large stone building, typical of Skye. Set in beautiful surroundings, every area of the house enjoys lovely open views.
Glendale actually encompasses many smaller villages and this peaceful corner of the northwest of Skye is a great place to get away from it all and relax. Bird watching and sea fishing are favourite activities. Glendale has a post office, licenced café, village shop and other attractions such as crafts and the Toy museum. It is just 2 miles from the world famous Three Chimneys Restaurant. Eight miles away Dunvegan village provides extra facilities while, just beyond, lies Dunvegan Castle and its beautiful gardens.
From the Castle you can take a boat trip to see the seals in Loch Dunvegan, great for both children and adults! The bustling town of Portree, some 18 miles east of Dunvegan, sports all the facilities you expect of the island's vibrant capital.

Location - How to Find Us
Cross the Skye Bridge and head west through Broadford onto the A87. Follow the road for approximately 23 miles until you reach Sligachan. At Sligachan, turn left onto the A863 to Dunvegan.
At roughly 1 mile before Dunvegan, turn left onto the road signposted for Glendale. This road branches right after about half a mile, (do not go straight on to Orbost) follow the road straight into Glendale - around 7 miles. You will pass Three Chimneys Restaurant, then Skye Silver on the way up the hill. As you come over the top of the hill, continue down into the Glen and turn left at the shop/post office, go past the shops for about 200 yards and Hamara Lodge is directly at the junction for Glendale Watermill. The name 'Hamara Lodge' is on the white gate posts.
