This charming traditional stone cottage occupies a wonderful secluded position on the beautiful Greshornish peninsula and boasts stunning views over Loch Greshornish towards the peaks of the Cuillin mountains.
Situated up a track road on a 2500 acre hill farm, just minutes walk from the seashore; a holiday in Ghillie’s Cottage offers fishing for wild trout and salmon in the nearby Red Burn river. Lovely wooden boats are also available for guests’ use on Loch na Stàpaig - the owner’s private hill loch which is stocked with brown trout.
The surrounding area is rich in bird and wild life; take a look out the window to catch a glimpse of the renowned sea eagle, watch the mischievous seals and porpoises play at Diubeag or take a stroll to the mouth of the Red Burn to spot the illusive sea otter.
Ghillie’s Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring Skye’s many visitor attractions; excellent coastal and hill walks can be found from the doorstep while Dunvegan, offering all the facilities of a Highland village, is just a 7 mile drive away.
When the day is done return to this cosy old crofter’s cottage, watch the magical sunset and simply relax in the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
Accommodation
On the first floor are two bedrooms: one double and one twin. On the ground floor is a bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC; a well-equiped kitchen with dining area; sitting room with electric fire. With the exception of the bathroom, all rooms have sea views.

- Smokers are requested to smoke outside the property.
- Lets commence Saturday. Entry to the cottage is after 3.00 p.m.
- Short lets considered in winter months. email or telephone for further information.
- On day of departure the cottage must be vacated by 10.00 a.m.

Tariff/Prices
From £237 - £513 per week, depending on season.

Location - How to Find Us
From the Skye Bridge, at the Kyleakin roundabout take the third exit onto the A87. Follow the road for 36 miles towards Portree. In Portree, at the first main junction turn left onto the A850 signposted Dunvegan. At the roundabout take the second exit towards Dunvegan. After approximately 3 miles bear left onto the A850 towards Edinbane and Dunvegan. After 11 miles, crossing the river Tora and the Red Burn, turn right signposted Greshornish. Turn left after following the single track road for approximately 1.5 miles and you will arrive at the Ghillie's Cottage.
