Welcome to Galleon Cottage, Skeabost, Isle of Skye
Built circa 1850 it has traditional stone walls almost 1m thick in places is mostly double glazed and has electric panel heaters. It is ideally situated for such popular tourist destinations as Dunvegan castle and gardens at 18 miles and Portree harbour with it's many restaurants and boat trips to see sea eagles at 7 miles. The famous Quiraing, a spectacular landslip terrain, great for walking 16 miles and the Uig ferry over the sea to the outer hebrides only 8 miles. Skeabost hotel, approximately 1 mile from the cottage has a bar and restaurant, with great character and a 9 hole golf course all with the picturesque River Snizort running past.
Accommodation
Comprises one double bedroom, open plan lounge/diner with attached galley style kitchen (electric cooker,fridge, and microwave), porch, shower room with wash basin and WC, utility room with sink and washing machine, bed/bunk room sleeps 4 persons.
Wifi is available at the cottage should you bring your own laptop with you. Ample parking and storage in the garden for kayaks, trailers and cycles etc.
Garden
Offroad parking accessed from Tote road via large gate (to be kept closed at all times as there are cattle and sheep roaming through the area). The total grounds including the garden are approx 1/4 acre with a small picnic bench to while away the evenings, or plan your day trips or just recover from scrambling the hills of Skye.

Tariff/Prices
£375 to £600 per week depending on numbers and season.
Electricity included in weekly charge.
Booking & Payment
A non refundable deposit of £100 per week booked is required at the time of booking, balance paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. Weekly lets are Friday to Friday.

Terms & Conditions
Arrival times are strictly not before 4.00 p.m. unless prior arrangement has been agreed. On your day of departure the cottage must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. We operate a find it as you leave it policy, so the cottage should be left as neat and tidy as you find it. This is in order to avoid any hold ups on arrival days for following guests, and to assist us in providing a cottage all would like to share. The cleaner has only a few hours to make the cottage spick and span, so leaving the rooms clean and tidy is expected. This also helps to keep our prices keen and our holiday makers happy!
Total number of occupants must not exceed 6 people. Unfortunately we do not accept pets. The cottage has a no smoking policy. Kayaks cycles and holiday gear may be stored in the garden, but entirely at your own risk.
Location - How to Find Us
From Portree
Take the road to Uig ferry, for approximately 5 miles then turn left following the signs for Dunvegan, follow this road for apx 1 mile then turn right following the signs for Peinmore/Tote/Prabost then the 2nd road on the left sign posted Tote we are the 3rd gate.
