Lisa and John Ashdown welcome you to our 1928 character Scottish home. Clachbhiteach is a small, family run bed and breakfast with spectacular views overlooking Broadford Bay, and a great base for exploring North and South Skye with beaches and walks right from the door.
Clachbhiteach is situated in a quiet location with
off-road parking and provides comfortable accommodation. Our one double room has spectacular views. Its facilities include a private toilet with handbasin, a large table on which to enjoy your home cooked breakfast or maybe a takeaway if you fancy a night in while watching the TV. We also provide a tray with tea and coffee making facilities, an alarm clock, reading lights and weather permitting, there is an eating area outside for guests.
Broadford is a 20 minute walk and provides a supermarket with a petrol station, 24hr launderette, chemist, bank, post office, butcher, takeaway and various other shops and art galleries. There are several restaurants and pubs to visit, including a local hotel which is only few minutes walk and serves good quality pub food at a reasonable cost.

Clachbhiteach is entirely non-smoking and we do not accept pets of any description, as we have a Westie and 2 cats of our own.

Tariff/Prices
Our 2010 accommodation tariff including breakfast is:
£25 per person per night for double occupancy of a room.
£33 per person per night for single occupancy.
We require a non-refundable booking deposit of £25 booked from guests resident in the UK, by cheque made payable to Lisa Ashdown. We do not require a booking deposit from overseas guests.
Payment may be made in cash (£ sterling), or a UK cheque supported by a bankers card for the appropriate amount. We are sorry, but Clachbhiteach cannot accept credit or debit cards.
Check-in time is between 4.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking. If you should be running late please telephone us to advise us of your expected arrival time.
If we do not receive a telephone call by 7.00 p.m. on the arrival day the room will be re-let.
We normally expect guests to vacate their rooms by 10.00 a.m. on day of departure.
Rooms are cleaned daily between 11.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
Season
Clachbhiteach is open to guests from 1st March to 31st October each year.
Location - How to Find Us
Clachbhiteach can be easily found and takes about 20 minutes from the Skye Bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh or about 40 minutes from the ferry terminal at Armadale.
Via Skye Bridge
Cross the bridge at the roundabout, turn right onto the A87 towards Broadford, continue for about 6 miles, you will see a signpost on your left to Harrapool and a letter box in the distance on the right hand side, which is where you will turn right into Waterloo Road. We are the first house on your right as you enter.
via Armadale Ferry
Travel up the A8521 towards Broadford. Turn left onto the A87 towards Broadford you will see a signpost almost immediately on your left to Harrapool and a letter box in the distance on the right hand side, which is where you will turn right into Waterloo Road. We are the first house on your right as you enter.
via Portree
Travel through Portree and follow signs towards Broadford, pass through Broadford and after about a mile you will see the Hebridean Hotel on your right. We are the next turning on the left (Waterloo Road) and we are the first house as you enter.
