Welcome to Ardranach Self Catering Cottage Bernisdale by Portree
Our one hundred year old croft house is set in a beautiful location in the village of Bernisdale. Nestling close to the shores of Loch Snizort, Ardranach Cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard exposing stone walls, original floor boards and beams. An oil fired Rayburn in the kitchen ensuring a warm welcome at any time of year.
The cottage has off-road parking and is located just ten minutes drive from shops, banks and fuel in Portree the island capital.
With its central location, Ardranach Cottage is a perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye. Whether you prefer a relaxed holiday, or an active one, the options are many and varied. Nearby is Dunvegan Castle, the historic home of the Clan Macleod or perhaps treat yourself at the Three Chimneys Restaurant in Colbost, a top Scottish restaurant.
Nearby is the Skeabost Country House Hotel with a fine dining room, conservatory restaurant or bar. Golf is available at the hotel on a well-maintained 9 tee course. Skeabost offers 8 miles of the best salmon and trout fishing on Skye if you are a keen fisher.
Accommodation
Beautifully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen including an oil fired Rayburn, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and seating area.
Spectacular sunsets can also be enjoyed from the dining area in the adjacent south facing conservatory. The conservatory opens into a walled garden with outdoor table & chairs.
The lounge has a feature Victorian fireplace with remote control colour Sky TV and satellite channels, DVD, CD player, a selection of books to keep any bookworm very happy, walking and tourist guides, maps and games. A bed settee has recently been added to the lounge, this sleeps 2 persons.
On the upper level is an open plan study area with a reference section where you will find leaflets, brochures, business cards and local restaurant menus to help you get the most out of your stay on Skye.
Last but not least, a tastefully decorated double bedroom and luxury shower room.

Dog lovers and pet owners are welcome to bring along their pets with them by prior arrangement for a small charge (£10.00 per pet) and a returnable security deposit (£60.00).

Tariff/Prices
£225.00 to £525.00 per week
A deposit is required at the time of booking of £100.00 (please send cheque by post). The deposit is non-refundable.
- Balance payable 6 weeks before your stay.
- Cheques made payable to Marion Donaldson.
- Bookings are for a minimum of 7 nights arriving and departing on a Saturday.
- We kindly request that guests arrive no earlier than 4.00 p.m. and depart no later than 10.00 a.m. This is to allow Ardranach Cottage to be cleaned & prepared thoroughly for our next guests.

Location - How to Find Us
From the Skye Bridge travel to Portree along the A87. From Portree follow the A87 toward Uig. Take the A850 Dunvegan road at Borve and continue until you see a sign for Bernisdale. Ardranach cottage is situated in the middle of the crofting village of Bernisdale on the right.
