Achalochan House is a recently built bed and breakfast establishment situated on the edge of Loch Bracadale looking onto Macleods Tables and the Black Cuillins. We are just a short drive from Portree and close to Dunvegan Castle and other must see places, such as Neist Point Lighthouse, the Coral Beaches of Claigan and Talisker Distillery.
This area has great walks and spectacular scenery, from sheer sea cliffs to table top mountains and the stunning Neist Point. Dunvegan has its famous castle (seat of the Clan Macleod) and the Giant Macaskill Museum, also sight-seeing boat trips and some excellent bars and restaurants. The world renowned Three Chimneys Restaurant is 3 miles from Dunvegan. Adjacent to Achalochan House there are excellent sea and river fishing to be had. We have a range of leisure equipment for guest use (mountain bikes, fishing rods, ball games, etc).
Your hosts Kenny and Karan are friendly and enthusiastic about Skye and living here. Our goal is to ensure you get the best from your visit and have the most enjoyable stay possible.

All rooms have central heating and great views. Each room also has TV, DVD, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and an alarm clock. The guest lounge has Sky TV and the large patio window offers wide views of Loch Bracadale.
Internet access, washing and drying services are also available.
Breakfast, at a time to suit you, is either a full hearty Scottish cooked breakfast or a Continental breakfast ( a vegetarian option is also available). We will be happy to give advice on local restaurants, and help arrange dinner bookings. We can also offer free travel to and from the famous Three Chimneys Restaurant.

Directions to Achalochan
Arriving on Skye from the south you will pass through Broadford on the A87. When you reach Sligachan, 16 miles from Broadford, turn left signposted Dunvegan. Another 16 miles will take you through Struan until you reach Ose where, just after crossing the River Ose, you will see a sign on the left that's points up a road to the right and 'Achalochan House'.
