The cottage is a spacious family home that sits in its own secluded, mature and fenced-off garden. An air of tranquillity is created by a small unfenced burn running through the garden. The house has recently been completely renovated but retains its old charm and period features. From the house, you have splendid views of Loch Sligachan, Braes and the Isle of Raasay plus Glamaig - the Red Cuillin famous for its annual hill race.
Sconser is a crofting township centrally located within the Isle of Skye and as such provides an ideal base for exploring the island. Within a three mile radius, you can take the ferry to the Isle of Raasay, play a round of golf at the Isle of Skye Golf Club or walk and climb in the Cuillins. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the hospitality of either Sconser Lodge Hotel or Sligachan Hotel. Sconser has its own post office and is 12 miles from the two main shopping towns, Portree and Broadford.
Sconser has a bus stop which serves Scotland wide public service buses.
Accommodation
The house at 13 Sconser can easily accommodate 6 people. Within the house you can relax in the large sitting room which has satellite television. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine/tumble drier, fridge freezer, microwave, hob, oven, kettle and toaster. Adjoining this is the dining room.
The bathroom has both bath and shower. Two double bedrooms are on the ground floor, the third double bedroom being upstairs. There is an upper floor fourth bedroom, which has a single bed should it be required. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The garden does have an unfenced burn, so we do ask visitors to be mindful of this particularly if they have children. Garden furniture is provided. The house has a small porch, ideal for any wet clothing and climbing boots
Heating
The house is centrally heated, the cost being included in the weekly rate.
Pets
We regret that pets are not accepted.
Smoking
Smokers are requested to smoke outside.

Tariff/Prices
£600.00 per week
A non-refundable deposit of £300 per week is required on booking and the balance paid 4 weeks prior to your visit. Payment by cheque to 'Moir and Macdonald' at the address below.
Terms & Conditions
- Prices quoted are per week. All lets are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated. Prices include all the linen and towels.
- The house will be available from 4.00 p.m. subject to unavoidable delays. The house must be vacated by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure. Guests are requested to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition.
- All breakages must reported to the owners. Only major breakages will be charged.
- If, for reasons beyond our control, we cannot let the cottage for the week booked, all payments will be refunded in full and you will have no claim against us.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry at any time to any person who in our opinion is not suitable to occupy the cottage.
- Whilst every care is taken to ensure the details are correct we cannot accept responsibility for any errors.

Location - How to Find Us
Follow the A87 to Sconser from the Bridge. Take the village turn off to your left (the sea and the ferry terminal for Raasay are on your right). No 13 is the second house on your right. It is clearly marked. Parking is shared with the Old School House, on the opposite side of the road.
